With a cutting width of 1050mm, the LS5 1000 hydraulic mulcher is a powerful and efficient machine. When teamed up with the right sized excavator, it is the ideal choice for cutting grass, brambles and branches up to 20cm.

With a block of valves fitted to all Robustrack flails a drain line on the excavator is not necessary. This block acts as an anti-cavitation/flow control system so that damage to the motor is avoided on the occasion of a sudden spike in pressure or stoppage of the machine.
Rather than having a roller like the smaller flail models, the LS5 1000 has chains fitted on both sides. This allows the mulcher to cut in both directions as the boom is slewed. This increases the rate of productivity and efficiency and is especially beneficial when working on the road, where minimising the time you spend travelling against the traffic flow is essential.
Mulchers are the ideal excavator attachment for ground clearing, vegetation management, drainage, hedgecutting and other clearance and maintenance work.
