Demolition: Where Others Evolve, Settanta Begins
When Laurini Officine Meccaniche set out to celebrate its 70th anniversary (1955–2025), it didn’t just look back…..it looked forward! The result? SETTANTA – the world’s first machine designed entirely for demolition, not adapted from an existing platform but created from scratch to tackle the most demanding demolition challenges with precision, power and agility!

Purpose-Built, Not Repurposed
Unlike many machines in the industry that are retrofitted for demolition, SETTANTA is different. It has been engineered from day one to deliver exceptional performance in demolition-specific environments. From its integrated counterweight to the rear-mounted base arm, every inch of the machine is made for balance, strength and efficiency on-site.
Its compact frame means that, despite its enormous power, SETTANTA can be transported easily without the need for special permits. A HUGE logistical advantage!
Transport and Setup: Fast, Simple and Independent
One of the most impressive things about SETTANTA is how quickly it can go from transport mode to job-ready. Here’s why:

- Transport Width: Just 2.5 meters, fitting within standard haulage limits
- Operating Weight: 33,000 kg (33 tons), equivalent to a 25-ton machine on paper, but performs like a modified 45-ton excavator
- Self-assembling system: You don’t need cranes or additional lifting equipment to mount or dismount the arms. The machine can do it on its own
- Expandable Undercarriage: Width extends from 2.5 m to 3.7 m from inside the cab — road-legal during transit, ultra-stable during operation
This kind of autonomous setup dramatically cuts downtime, lowers costs and allows demolition crews to get straight to work!
HQCS: Innovation at Your Fingertips
SETTANTA introduces a new standard with its HQCS (Hydraulic Quick Coupling System). Operated directly from the cab, HQCS automatically connects all hydraulic and electrical lines during arm or tool changes with no manual intervention required.

This Laurini-developed system was designed specifically for the SETTANTA. The result? Faster arm changes, reduced exposure to hazards and uninterrupted workflow on-site. The system has been so successful, it is now available as an option on all Laurini base-machine modifications.
Multi-Arm Versatility

SETTANTA is a true all-rounder in the field of demolition. It supports five interchangeable arms, all of which can be swapped with ease using the HQCS:
- Base Arm – Rear-mounted for added stability
- Demolition Arm – 24.5 m reach at the pin; handles tools up to 3,000 kg
- Triple (Digging) Arm – 14.5 m reach; supports tools up to 5,000 kg
- Telescopic Arm – Reach extends from 25 to 30 m; tool capacity up to 2,000 kg
- Lattice Boom – With integrated hydraulic winch for lifting applications

This flexibility means one machine can handle a huge range of demolition, crushing, shearing and lifting operations which is a major advantage for project managers and site supervisors.
Built for Operator Comfort & Control
The operator’s cab isn’t just an afterthought; it’s central to SETTANTA’s performance:
- Tilts up to 30° for high-reach visibility
- FOPS-certified for maximum safety
- Comes equipped with machine displays, anti-roll systems, cameras, and electronic controls
- Supports multiple working modes and tool presets
- Fully climate-controlled with heating and air conditioning
