When it comes to clearing large areas with overgrown vegetation, to reclaim land or to tackle a forestry job, skid loader mulchers or flails are often the preferred option. The skid steer is a fast, strong but relatively light machine, especially if compared with a tractor, that can reach places and do jobs that would otherwise be labour intensive.
If you need to clear an area with overgrown vegetation the flail with the standard rotor is most likely the right choice for you. The LS FS5 1800 / S5 MZ180 Skidsteer Flail comes with a cutting width of 1800mm and can cut brambles and branches up to 15cm. These flails comes with the option of a hydraulic side shift which allows the flail to move sideways in order to avoid obstacles or help reach difficult places. The LS FS5 1800 / S5 MZ180 Skidsteer Flail is available with either Y blades or hammer blades and are suitable for skidsteers from 50-90 horsepower.
