We’re now stocking the full Agriforest HR heavy duty log grab range here at Robustrack – six models covering excavators from 2 tonnes up to 16 tonnes, built to handle the tough stuff day in and day out.
If you work in forestry, agriculture, recycling or demolition, you’ll know that equipment is only as good as the day it stops working. That’s exactly why we chose to add the Agriforest HR range to our lineup.
What Makes the HR Range Different?
Plenty of grabs look the part on paper. The HR series earns its reputation in the field – and the materials used are a big part of why.
The tines are manufactured from HB 450 hardox-grade steel, the frame from S 700 high-strength structural steel, and the pins and bushings are bronzed 39NiCrMo3 – a specialist alloy steel chosen for its impact toughness and wear resistance. This isn’t a grab built to a price. Every material choice has been made with longevity and hard use in mind.
Add in a cylinder check valve fitted as standard on every single model, and you’ve got a grab that holds its load even if hydraulic pressure is lost. For anyone lifting suspended loads – whether that’s on a forestry site, a recycling yard or a construction project – that’s not just reassuring, it’s essential.
Six Models, One Range – Find Yours
The HR series divides neatly into two families:
HR 5 – for 2 to 9 tonne excavators, with a 5-tine (3+2) configuration:
- HR 5 – 013 | 2.0-3.5 ton | 1002mm opening | 0.13m² loading area
- HR 5 – 015 | 4.0-6.0 ton | for mid-size machines
- HR 5 – 020 | 5.0-9.0 ton | up to 230 bar operating pressure
HR 7 – for 5 to 16 tonne excavators, with a 7-tine (4+3) configuration:
- HR 7 – 020 | 5.0-9.0 ton | more tines, more grip
- HR 7 – 029 | 9.0-16.0 ton | 1510mm opening | 0.29m² loading area
- HR 7 – 038 | 11.0-16.0 ton | 1800mm opening | up to 250 bar | 0.38m² loading area
That extra row of tines on the HR 7 makes a real difference when you’re handling larger timber, uneven material or mixed debris – more contact points means a more secure, stable grip and a higher loading capacity overall.
More Than Just a Log Grab
The Agriforest HR heavy duty log grab is genuinely multi-purpose. Despite the name, these grabs are designed to handle large timber, stones, branches, demolition debris and irregular materials – making them equally at home on a forestry clearance, a farm, a demolition site or a waste processing facility. They’re approved for use on excavators, telescopic handlers, backhoe loaders, cranes and tractors, so if your fleet is mixed, one grab can earn its keep across multiple machines.
And if you need to add rotation – the HR range is also compatible with Agriforest’s SC series rigid rotators, available on request. Just ask us.
